Magic Seaweed

The Ask

Magic Seaweed is an informational application made for surfers who want to find the best spots and the current and predicted conditions. This project was a request to find a better solution for marketing to users within the app without disturbing their experience. 

My Proposal 

This was a quick side project for fun. After extensive heuristic and competitive analysis and a little bit of guerrilla testing, I came up with a more practical approach that suggests equipment based on the conditions they're seeing at any particular surf spot, and shows offers for deals at shops nearby. Potentially, in phase three, this would check inventories as well through Amazon WebServices APIs or other patents.
